The watermill Soderstorf was first attested in 1427. The mill has been owned by the Vogt family since 1650 and has been used in its long history as a mill, oil, grit, Loh and sawmill. In the 1960s, the watermill Soderstorf was only used for the own needs of the mill yard and stands still since then.
A beautiful mill pond complements this beautiful property.

The watermill in Soderstorf was first mentioned in 1478 when it was sold by the von dem Berge family. In its long history it has been used as a grinding, oil, groats, tan and sawmill.
From the beginning of the 60s to the end of the 80s the water mill was only used for the Mühlenhof's own needs, after which it was no longer used.
The mill as it can be seen today dates from the early 18th century.
Just like the bakery, it is located on Mühleninsel. The bakery is from the 17th century and is still fully functional.
At least once a year, for the traditional potato festival, bread is baked here.
The core of the mill dates from 1771. The half-timbered building was expanded in several construction phases and in some cases two storeys were added.
It is a simple brick half-timbered building with gable roofs that are covered with red clay pans.
