The Rotbach tower windmill in Hiesfeld was opened in 1991 to the public after extensive renovation. The monument consists of the original watermill built in 1693 in half-timbered construction and a later brick building on the other side of the Rotbach, which was used as the main building for the mill operation and as a residential building for the miller. Between the two buildings, in the middle of the Rotbach, there is a large meandering water wheel, which towers up to the half-timbered house. On the three floors of the mill about 40 models of mills from Germany and other countries are shown.
