Nebelhorn Summit Cross

If you're visiting the summit cross of the Nebelhorn (2,224 m), start early in the morning. This way, you'll avoid the crowds and can often enjoy the spectacular view of over 400 Alpine peaks in a quiet atmosphere. Sturdy footwear is a must, even though the trail is easily accessible thanks to the cable car. If the weather is clear, binoculars are a good idea!

Please! Be considerate of those walking up to the cross! It's about 1400 meters above sea level! You don't have to wait in line to take photos! This hike up the Nebelhorn is strenuous!

This summit cross is easily accessible either by hiking, for example, from Oberstdorf or from the Höfatsblick mountain station, or directly from the Nebelhorn cable car station. No experience is required, and the summit cross can be reached in 5 minutes from the platform. It's a secured path and a great opportunity for many to take a picture of themselves with the cross and perhaps a stunning mountain backdrop.
