The Esterliturm is a reinforced concrete observation tower south of Lenzburg.
Built in 1974, the tower is made up of 19 concrete pipe sections of 2.50 meters height and has a total height of 48 meters. The viewing platform, 45 meters high, is accessed via a staircase inside the tower via 253 steps. 18 slightly offset narrow windows provide the lighting. This tower is not the first one in this location. As early as 1906, a first Esterliturm made of wood was built.In about 15 - 20 minutes hiking trails lead from Egliswil to the lookout tower.The tower offers a panoramic view from the Black Forest to the Alps.
