Since June 2005, the Poetry Trail has been located in the Mühlbachtal valley near Rumbeck, a joint project of the then Arnsberg Literary Society and the Arnsberg Forest Forestry Office.
The Rumbeck Poetry Trail is based on an idea by forester Wolfram Blanke. His aim was to deepen the experience of nature through the sensitive perspective of poets and to bring poetry to life by glimpsing the forest reality beyond. The then Arnsberg Literary Society spontaneously agreed to a permanent collaboration with the State Office for Forest and Wood NRW. On March 22, 2013, the Poetry Trail was handed over to the Arnsberg Local History Association under the umbrella of "Arnsberg Forest Culture."
