The Tchorek plaque at 23 Sandomierska Street commemorates the victims of the crime committed by the Germans during the Warsaw Uprising. On August 4, 1944, soldiers of the Waffen-SS and the Luftwaffe pacified the surrounding houses. In the tenement house at 23 Sandomierska Street, about 9 Polish civilians were shot, including two wounded girls who were left in the building that was set on fire.

The Tchorek plaque at 21 Sandomierska Street commemorates the victims of the crime committed by the Germans during the Warsaw Uprising. On August 4, 1944, Waffen-SS soldiers, supported by the Luftwaffe, carried out the pacification of houses in the area. In the tenement house at 21 Sandomierska Street, 17 Polish civilians were shot.
