Worth mentioning is the legendary Siechenkapelle (infirmary chapel), idyllically surrounded by three linden trees dating from the Year of the Three Emperors in 1888, in the southwest, on the old postal road from Vienna to Paris. In the past, people suffering from ulcers, which were colloquially known as "Eissen," would make pilgrimages to this small field chapel (also called the Eissen Chapel or "Die Ösch"). Those seeking help would place a broom in the chapel. This was intended to symbolically represent the brushing away of the disease. This custom persisted in Deisendorf until the middle of the last century.
