Monument to the Vine Grower and Plaza Nueva
In 2011, a “Monument to the Vine Grower” was erected in Plaza Nueva in memory of the farmers who dedicated many years to the cultivation of the vineyard; its fruit, the Ohanes type table grape, was exported to other countries and provided years of prosperity to this area. This monument was a generous and loving gift to this town from the countryman Matías Ruiz Bueno. In the “Plaza Nueva”, which was urbanised at the end of the 19th century, some vines were planted in memory of the cultivation of this grape.
