The peat bog reserve (12.88 ha) is located south of the town of Drewno. It was created to preserve, for natural, scientific and educational reasons, the sources of the Gąsawka River. There are many protected or rare species here, including marsh helleborine, daphne mezereum, martagon lily, primrose, blackberry, bear's garlic, and lesser bladderwort. The dominant type of forest is alder riparian forest, changing on the slopes into a community with the characteristics of a hornbeam forest.
