Hiking
People used to use them to go to church in Rättvik. The church boats are rowed by up to 20 people. There are real racing versions of these boats, which are used in competitions on the lake in the summer. The competitions on the lake have a long tradition. In the past, it was probably simply an advantage to be able to row quickly: whoever got to the church first could choose their place.
