You should really make sure you wear good shoes (hiking boots) here! I've seen people with sandals who have seriously injured themselves. It's slippery in places and the ground is rocky and uneven. It goes steeply up, sometimes with steps, sometimes without. The steps are not the same height. A steel cable runs along the rock face that you can also hold on to.
Other than that, it's definitely a wonderful experience. I've been coming here since I was a child and I look forward to it every time.
