    Tourists by car can take the S19 route to MOP Bukowa II. The monument stands on the western side of the road; driving from Rzeszów you can cross the viaduct over S19 connecting both MOPs).

    The monument commemorates approximately 100,000 Poles cruelly murdered by Ukrainians during World War II in south-eastern Poland.

    "The Volhynian Massacre" is a monument by the late master Andrzej Pityński, Knight of the Order of the White Eagle, creator of the Katyn Monument in Jersey City, unveiled in 1991, commemorating the victims of the Katyn massacre.
    The sculpture, cast in bronze, depicts an eagle whose body is placed in flames. On its wings there were the names of towns whose inhabitants were murdered by the UPA (...)


    The monument with its plinth measures 20 meters and weighs 14 tons.
