Path marking of the Weitanderweg X23 (Schieferweg) which goes from Meschede to Biedenkopf or vice versa. This historic hiking trail was developed by the Sauerland Mountain Association decades ago, it goes about 82 kilometers from the northern to southern foothills of the Rothaar Mountains from the Ruhr to the Lahn.
Unfortunately, the main path from the Sauerland Mountain Association to Biedenkopf from the state border of NRW/Hesse (Didoll) has been abandoned because there are no club members, markers and money and because fewer and fewer people use these X paths.
