In 1473, Pope Sixtus IV named the church as consecrated to Saint Lawrence. The pulpit and altar date from 1693, the year in which the church was also redesigned. The nave has been rebuilt and renovated several times over the centuries. The tower was rebuilt in 1744, renovated in 1787 and measured at 53.69 meters. A major renovation was carried out again in 1880/1881, with the chancel and tower remaining standing and the entire middle section being torn down and rebuilt.
