The Büchelstein mountain in the Sonnenwald holiday region - at 862 m high, it is a rather small mountain in the Bavarian Forest, but the view from the summit cross over the municipality of Grattersdorf is definitely worth it. When the weather is good, you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Danube valley, and when the foehn wind blows, you can even see as far as the Bavarian Alps. There is also a launch site for hang gliders on the Büchelstein, which can be seen in large numbers here when the wind and weather conditions are favorable.
