West of Birkenbeul on the way to the Hardskopf is this mysterious tree for many generations, a funeral book, which is also popularly known as the "miracle book". Various legends / stories entwine themselves around the green-leafed hanging prayer, whose age is estimated at approx. 250 years.
Legend has it that an innocent executed maiden was buried in this place, buried treasure and the tomb of a strange general who had been planted to honor them.
The truth next comes probably the last mentioned legend that here a fallen or deceased French general found his final resting place in the Napoleon war raids to Russia, especially since several officers with a group of horsemen had later visited this grave and adorned.
