On Helen's Bay coastline, Grey Point Fort was built to protect the Belfast Lough in 1907. It is one of the best preserved 20th-century coastal forts in the British Isles.

The fort is now a military museum exhibiting historic memorabilia from the First and Second World Wars. You can also visit the fort's observation post and three searchlight positions.
