The old church, about which hardly anything is known, was demolished because of collapse danger. The stones for the new building were won from the region. On November 14, 1864, the church was inaugurated by the then pastor Edmund Goering with the words: "May God exercise and bestow upon the building with his grace, that a pious family here always worship him, who build themselves up as the living stones to the spiritual home "Dedicated (Wikipedia).
