Steele Farm boasts some of the town's most breathtaking scenic views. Its fields, once used for pasturing cattle, are now meticulously maintained grasslands. During spring and summer, rare grassland birds like Bobolinks nest there. The property also features mature glades of spruce and pines, remnants of an apple orchard, and two serene ponds teeming with waterfowl and birdlife. Historic structures including an 18th-century farmhouse and a barn, rebuilt after a devastating hurricane in 1958, add to the farm's charm. The ice house, donated by the West family in 1997, serves as a poignant reminder of the area's history and resilience.
