Lac de Montsalvens is a picturesque artificial lake located in the Fribourg, Switzerland region. It is surrounded by a network of running trails offering varied terrain and levels of difficulty. One of the most popular loops is the 9.7km route that starts and ends in Charmey, passing the impressive Montsalvens Dam, Europe's first double arch dam built in 1920-1921. Along the way, you can admire the view of the lake, the forest and the Dents Vertes mountain range. This trail is suitable for intermediate runners looking for a moderate challenge and rewarding experience.
