August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area, acquired by the Missouri Department of Conservation in 1947, holds a rich history. Mrs. August A. Busch Sr. donated $70,000 in memory of her late husband. Once a World War II TNT munitions plant, remnants of history linger with 100 old TNT storage bunkers.
