    This area was first fortified in 1634 and stands as one of the oldest English coastal fortifications in the US. In 1892, the fort was converted into a town park, remaining open to the public ever since.

      The fort has lovely views of Marblehead harbor to the Salem Harbor islands. It had renewed landscaping and walkways in the last few years
