The church in Karwów was built in the second half of the 13th century. It was a hall building, built on a rectangular plan with dimensions of 12.7 x 6.5 m. The church was made of granite squares. Completely rebuilt in 1896. It was then that a tower was built at the western corner of the northern façade. The original early Gothic portal has been preserved, the entire eastern façade and all window openings date back to the 19th-century reconstruction. The interesting neo-Gothic tower dates back to this time. Square on the ground floor, octagonal above, topped with a conical dome.

The original equipment included: tin altar candlesticks from 1681, 34 cm high, a three-armed bronze candlestick and a baptismal basin cast from brass, 34.5 cm in diameter. On its base there was a scene with the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The bowl was founded in 1703 by the von Wetzel family.

The church was damaged in April 1945, because its tower was an observation point for German troops, and then fell into ruin.
