Wikipedia:
The foundation of the village probably dates back to the Lombard era if we consider the toponym derived from the Lombard Fara Vetula.
Since the Middle Ages, Fallavecchia was a center of agricultural production subject to the local Cistercian abbey which in the seventeenth century saw to the construction of the current church inside the large walled courtyard.
The parish church of San Giorgio di Fallavecchia was built in the 13th century, after the completion of the abbey church of Morimondo, by the same Cistercian monks. Externally, in fact, the church of Fallavecchia slavishly takes up the stylistic canons of the mother church of Morimondo with a gabled façade which however differs from the complexity of the large Morimonde structure.
