Near the top was a hermitage (later converted into a restaurant), a chapel (still standing) and the upper station of the Sant Jeroni Aerial Funicular, now closed, at the Mirador del Moro.Viewpoint of the summit of Sant Jeroni in the 1920s
At the top we can find a geodesic vertex (reference 280115001)
It is considered the highest peak (the "roof") of the counties of Bages and Anoia. This peak is included in the list of the 100 peaks of the FEEC. [2]

Morning has its rewards and so I was able to enjoy the solitude of the summit before the daily crowds.

The hermitage of Sant Jeroni was destroyed, like the rest of the hermitages, by Napoleon's troops in 1811 and no trace remains. This chapel is much later, it was inaugurated in 1891 next to an ice well and has nothing to do with the hermitage of Montserrat.
