Tips
With its extensive moorland and closely interlinked habitat types, the Bärnsee is a gem of southern Chiemgau. Narrow forest paths lead through rustic moorland and old, raised beech forests, wooden plank paths point the way through impressive moorland. In between, the hikers can linger with magnificent views with a view over the lake as far as the Alpine chain and Hohenaschau Castle. There is a barrier-free nature trail and a small moor swimming pool on the south bank.
