Church of St. Stanisław Bishop Martyr in Górecko Kościelny.

Its history dates back to the 17th century and is associated with the cult of Saint. Stanisław, bishop and martyr, who appeared to the young farmer Jan Sosza and indicated the places where chapels and a church were to be built.

Upon hearing about the extraordinary graces that the people received at the place of the apparition, Ordinator Marcin Zamojski ordered the construction of a chapel in honor of Saint. Stanisław, as well as a church that was unfortunately burned down by the Swedes.

A new temple was built in 1768. Beautifully situated among old trees, the temple captivates with its beauty and simplicity.

In 1968, Cardinal Karol Wojtyła donated authentic relics, some of Saint's bones, to the church in Górecko Kościelne. Stanisław.
