An idyllic harbor with colorful cutters, framed on the south side by buildings from the 19th century and freshly caught fish every day: That is the cutter harbor in Fedderwardersiel. This is the right place to feast, enjoy and linger. Just like in the days when Fedderwardersiel was still an important trading port, the cutters leave the small port every day and, in good weather, even go to the coast of Amrum to catch the best shells far and wide. Garnet, that's what the people of Butjent call the shrimps that are sold fresh from the cutter after the ships have arrived in Sielhafen.
