The Forsthaus Fischbach is located about 2 km north-west of Schemmern. It dates from the end of the 19th century and is, today one would say, a standardized type house. There are many of these forest service farms of the same design with the same window layout, e.g. B. in Obergude or between Cornberg and Rautenhausen. A half-timbered floor with St. Andrew's crosses stiffening the corners is placed on a massive basement. Also typical of the forest houses are the adjoining outbuildings on the right or left, depending on the nature of the terrain.
