Still active on the edge of Flamborough Head, Flamborough Head Lighthouse helps guide deep-sea vessels and boats as they sail towards Scarborough and Bridlington. You can still visit the original chalk lighthouse which dates back to 1674. Made from chalk, the lighthouse tower was never lit. It is now considered one of England's oldest lighthouses.

Built in 1806, the operating lighthouse was designed by Samuel Wyatt. At 87 feet (26.5 metres) tall, the tower is a defining feature of Flamborough Head.

Flamborough Head Lighthouse is an active lighthouse built in 1806. It replaced the old tower, which was built in 1674. The last lighthouse keeper left in 1996, and today it's fully automated.

The Headlands café operates from some of the old lighthouse buildings. It's open every day and makes a perfect mid-ride stop.
