The Ketelvierth observation tower was built in 2003 as part of a village development program and stands on the 73.2 m high Ketelvierth hill. (Ketel means "cauldron," the huge hollow to the west of it.)Originally 12 m high, the tower was increased to a total of 16.4 m in 2010 to provide an unobstructed view over the treetops.

The tower, constructed entirely of wood, offers a panoramic view of the Holstein floodplain and is a popular destination for hikers. At the bottom, there is a small 🅿️, several rest areas, including a covered shelter and seating. The observation tower is open to the public and can be visited 24 hours a day.
