In 1929 an iron lattice tower was erected to improve the lighting on the Wismar access road. Since the power grid did not yet reach the mast, his lantern was fitted with a liquid gas burner.
A new lighthouse was built near the old fire in 1953, a simple functional building made of concrete and sheet steel. However, the tower now had an electrical connection, but apart from a slight increase in the power of the light, everything remained the same for the time being. Only the leading light line set up in 1956, with the lighthouse of the front light, made it easier for larger ships to pass through the Great Depression. The triangular top sign attached to the building also served as a day sight sign.
