The obelisk erected in 1810 to survey the Rhineland reminds of several stays of the sister of Napoleon Bonaparte, Pauline princess Borghese, in the Trappist monastery Mont Sion in Bergerbusch between 1809 and 1811. Since she often liked to linger in the adjacent forest with tall beech and oak trees, he received it later the name Paulinen-Wäldchen.
