History:
Emperor Hadrian had a fort built near Böhming between 117 and 138 to secure the Limes, the border to free Germania.
In 233, the camp was destroyed by the Alemanni.
About 1,000 years later, the Bishop of Eichstätt consecrated the church in Böhming, which had been built outside the village on the Roman fort.
Böhming was initially an independent parish. After the death of the last pastor, Conrad Pöpperlein, Böhming became a branch of Kipfenberg in 1426 and has remained so to this day.
