The Klingenhofer Anger is a dry grassland area, which has been protected since 1986 and has some impressive natural monuments (oak, beech, conifers). At rare flowers there are various species of gentian as well as the Kartäuserelke found. The plantation attracts butterflies. The Anger serves as pasture for goats, sheep and cattle. The hiking trail Rotpunkt leads along it. It runs on the old post road, whose historical pavement today lies under the gravel. The Klingenhofer Anger - an old hutanger with a size of 13.6 ha, lies between Klingenhof and Egensbach. The name "Hutanger" comes from "herding" and means that this was pasture and in this case is still. The Klingenhofer Anger is a unique and fascinating place and you could spend hours under the shade of giant trees. The large oak, linden, beech and fir trees, the old apple trees and birch trees exude an indescribable atmosphere. Definitely worth seeing.

Beautiful meadow - former pasture areas for grazing animals.
