The refuge stands in a splendid position near the two Colbricon lakes. The panorama ranges from the peaks of the Pale di San Martino to the peaks of Lagorai. It can be reached with an easy walk from Passo Rolle (Malga Rolle) or with a slightly more demanding itinerary from Malga Ces.

Nice hut near Lake Colbricon, good food. However, the staff is rather rude: the woman at the cashier's desk responded arrogantly to a tourist asking about food, and a waiter was whistling fascist songs. Not the best of experiences to end the Translagorai.
