View of the Orta River from Ponte di Salle

One of the top places along the entire course of the Orta River, i.e. from its sources on the San Leonardo Pass at an altitude of 1,285 m above sea level, to the place where it joins the longest river of Abruzzo - L'Aterno-Pescara. The variability of the weather in the mountains and the different colors of nature associated with the seasons mean that almost every time you visit this place, you look at the canyon and the river from a different perspective.

Contemplation of the landscape from Ponte di Salle is hindered by a protective barrier attached to it for safety reasons. The solution is a path located just behind the bridge at the information boards from the San Tommaso side. You can go deep into the canyon and then nothing disturbs the view.
