Every Wednesday and Friday there is a small farmer's market on the square in front of the church.

The Willehadi Church in Wremen is a fortified church from around 1200.

It is dedicated to Willehad, the missionary and first bishop of Bremen.

The church is considered the most powerful and oldest church in Wursten and is one of the main churches in the country alongside the St. Urbanus Church in Dorum. It was built from precisely hewn Rhenish tuff, which was transported by ship.

The prosperity of the region at that time is reflected in the size and furnishings of the churches.

Only a chiming bell from the foundry Petit & Gebr. Edelbrock from 2007 hangs in the church tower.

The two bronze bells are housed in a stack of bells next to the church:

The larger bell was created in 1967 by the Rincker Bell and Art Foundry in Sinn (Hessen); it has a diameter of 1430 mm and weighs 1561 kg; the strike tone is d'+4.

The smaller bell was cast by Christoph Haupner from Stade; it has a diameter of 1315 mm and weighs 1380 kg; the strike tone is e'+3.
