The Hallesche Hütte, HWN 119 of the Harzer hiking nobility, stands on the Ahrendsberger cliff. You can also get there by bike.
From the Ahrendsberger cliffs you always had a beautiful view of the Oker Valley. In the meantime, the view through the bark beetles is no longer quite as nice. Where there used to be dense spruce forest, there are now bare areas. But you can now see the cliffs in the Okertal much more clearly. The Hallesche Hütte on the Ahrendsberger cliff is therefore still a worthwhile destination.
