The Hörschbach is an approximately 6 km long, left or southern tributary of the Murr and flows through a narrow, unspoilt gorge. There, the "Hintere Wasserfall" first falls as a cascade down a total of 12 m. At the upper end of this waterfall there is a reservoir at the "Kläpple" barrage, which can be emptied with a small flap so that an impressive waterfall can be observed even at low water. The Hörschbach then flows for 2 km through the narrow Hörschbach Gorge to the "Front Waterfall". There he falls 5 m over a cliff edge formed by the "Engelhofer Platte". This very unspoilt gorge can be walked on narrow, adventurous paths along the Hörschbach. Good footwear is required!
The stream path in the Hörschbach Gorge is not accessible due to rock slides and landslides and bridge damage. There is a risk of accidents. Therefore, the creek path is closed until further notice. However, both waterfalls are accessible, between the front and rear waterfalls you can hike on a safe forest path above the gorge. Detours are in place.
