In the Hammerbrook district, at Anckelmannsplatz, stands an imposing steel and glass office building – the Berliner Bogen. An outstanding piece of Hamburg architecture was created in Hammerbrook, and the Berliner Bogen lives up to its name: The building stands out not only because of its curved shape. As a sculptural object, the Berliner Bogen embodies the confluence of water and city.At a length of approximately 140 meters, the building spans the end of the kilometer-long flood basin. On both banks, the steel arches arch parabolically over the canal to a height of 36 meters. After a construction period of just over three years, the office complex opened at the end of 2001. The Hamburg-based BRT architects Bothe, Richter and Teherani are responsible for the Berliner Bogen.hamburg.de/berliner-bogen

The Berlin arch is really worth a visit. An internationally awarded architecture. On the homepage you will find a few backgrounds and impressions:
berliner-bogen.deSpekatkulär was also the lightning strike in 2011, where the lightning hit the structure - right next to a person in an office. This has survived the impact.
