Tips
King Wilhelm I of Württemberg (1816-1864) had seed of the mammoth tree imported to Württemberg shortly before his death. It was used up to 8,000 copies of which are still 35 copies in the mammoth grove in the Zoological Garden Wilhelma in Stuttgart today. More specimens from this seed were planted distributed throughout southwest Germany.

The impressive tree giants are located directly on the Mittlerer Rennweg, a little north-west of Häfnerhaslach. There is also an information board with great explanations.
