This ancient hermitage, built in the 12th century as a retreat for nuns, is surrounded by a forest of oak, chestnut, cypress and olive trees, making it a perfect place to immerse yourself in nature. From the top, you can admire a spectacular panoramic view of Bologna and the hills.
One of the most interesting features of this place is the history that surrounds it. Over the centuries, the hermitage has been inhabited by monks and friars, some of whom became famous thanks to Dante's Divine Comedy. Furthermore, inside the hermitage, there are precious frescoes from the Bologna pictorial school from the beginning of the 16th century.
