Napoleon Bridge Over the Soča

One of the most famous sights in Kobarid is the Napoleon Bridge, built in 1750 and located around 900 meters from the city center. The history of this historic stone bridge goes back a long time, and Napoleon's troops marched from here towards Predel. The bridge was destroyed during the First World War, but was later rebuilt. Today it is one of the main attractions and offers a spectacular view of one of the most beautiful rivers in the world, namely the beautiful emerald blue Soča.

A bridge over a river... No evidence of the historical history of this bridge. At least not apparently. There was heavy traffic on the street. As a caution! The view of the valley of the Soca is definitely worth seeing.
