It is a castle that the Count of Torres-Cabrera built in 1871 in his Colonia de Santa Isabel, being there the first place where
sugar beet was grown in Spain. Its construction is within a colonization project of the Count of Torres-Cabrera and Menado Alto, Ricardo Martel and Fernández de Córdoba, this being their home on the outskirts of the city. This character is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding and well-known figures in Córdoba in the 19th century. XIX, was immersed in many spheres of local, provincial and national life at the time, as well as having a notable presence in the cultural life of the city. His work in agrarian management, full of various types of initiatives, his attempts to socially mobilize the agrarian class and his active political participation, make him a character worth knowing. In 1953 these lands were owned by a wild cattle rancher, and continued to be the home of the people who worked on the farm.
