From one of the stone walls that make up the balcony a great stream of water gushes out which, led by a small iron channel 28 meters long, ends up in a small pond that pours its waters down the mountain in a waterfall. Nearby, a wide flight of stairs leads to the lower area of the park, which was built in a second phase.
Here, the Mirador del Poble-sec park becomes an urban garden that makes the transition between the forested landscape of Montjuïc and the Poble-sec neighborhood. There are petanque courts and children's games, and the rest spaces are protected by the shade of the trees and by a pergola covered with vines. At one end, a pond full of aquatic vegetation collects the water that flows down the 18-meter-high stepped waterfall, which originates from the small pond up the mountain.
