    This Franciscan friary was founded in the 13th century. The stunning ruin consists of a nave and chancel, separated by a tall bell tower.



    Moor Abbey was established by Donnchadh Cairprech Ó Briain, King of Thomond 1210–42. in 1471 a new church was constructed on the site but burned down in 1472 leaving this ruin.
