Here is a moraine ridge with late Iron Age burial mounds. The mound, like so many other ancient remains, was subject to destruction. It was used as a potato cellar, stones and gravel were used as building materials and even treasure hunters roamed about. Not even haunted apparitions on the hills have deterred the invaders!
