Cycling

The tower, built from stone in the 13th century, replaced a previously wooden defensive tower. In the event of the castle being conquered, it offered its defenders a last refuge. The tower was used as a court and prison tower from the 15th to the 18th century. The owner of Pouch Castle, Count Solms-Sonnenwalde, restored the tower after 1877 and converted it into an observation tower.
