At San Concordio di Moriano, leave the asphalt immediately after the church, turning left onto a dirt road which will eventually take you to the bell tower of Montecatino; the climb is demanding (it is in fact called "Bastardo") and requires a good leg to be covered by Mountain BIke. The climb lasts about 1km and winds through the woods alternating narrow sections with wider ones and you come across firm stones and some roots that require careful driving. The climb ends grafting into a wider forest, called Ai Papi and also about 1km long, but always with double-digit gradients and with a rather rough surface that improves towards the end of the climb, more or less when it goes to join the forest road of Montecatino, wide, gentle in the slopes and easy to go up to the top where our eyes will finally be able to admire the bell tower of Montecatino (Etruscan relic), after about 1.5km. Overall, the ascent entirely on dirt takes about 3.5km with a total height difference of 350m and an average gradient of 10.2%, therefore demanding; good training is needed.
